XHelper Privacy Policy
Effective October 3, 2026
XHelper is a developer utility for Mac, iPhone and iPad made by Vea Software LLC. It encodes, decodes, formats, hashes and converts text and files. This policy explains what information XHelper handles and where it goes.
In short: XHelper does not collect any data. It works completely offline. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting and no third-party code, and it never connects to the internet. Vea Software never receives your information.
Text you enter or paste
Everything you type or paste into XHelper, such as tokens, JSON, timestamps or secrets used to verify a JWT signature, is processed on your device and kept in memory while the app is running. It is not saved when you quit the app and is never sent anywhere.
Clipboard
XHelper reads your clipboard only when you ask it to, by pressing a Paste button or using the Paste and Detect command. It writes to your clipboard only when you press a Copy button.
Files
When you choose or drop a file to hash or Base64-encode, XHelper reads it on your device to produce the result. It does not copy, keep or upload the file.
Shortcuts and Mac Services
XHelper's Shortcuts actions and macOS Services process the text you give them on your device and return the result. Nothing is sent to Vea Software or anyone else.
Settings
XHelper saves your preferences, such as JSON indentation or UUID formatting, and the last tool you used, on your device so they're remembered next time. They may be included in your device backups.
Deleting your data
Deleting XHelper removes everything it stores. Because nothing leaves your device, no data held by Vea Software needs to be deleted.
Children's privacy
XHelper does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
