Version Privacy Policy
Vea Software LLC built Version, a Mac app for making App Store screenshots. This page explains what information Version uses and what happens to it. The short version: everything stays on your Mac, and we never see it.
Information Version Stores
Your projects (screenshots, captions, themes and settings) are saved in project files at locations you choose. Exported screenshots are written only to folders you choose. A few app preferences are stored on your Mac. None of this is sent to Vea Software or to any third party.
Network Access
Version does not connect to the internet. It runs in the macOS App Sandbox without network access.
Analytics, Tracking and Advertising
Version contains no analytics, advertising or tracking code, does not use cookies, and does not track you across apps or websites.
Data Deletion
Deleting a project file removes that project. Deleting the app removes its preferences.
Children's Privacy
Version does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page. If a future version of Version adds a feature that sends data off your Mac, this policy will be updated before that version is released.
This policy is effective as of 2026-10-03.
